2026 Woollybear Marching Band Registration! Welcome all High School and College Marching Bands!

Cleveland’s WJW-TV8 (FOX8), the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce, and the Vermilion High School Marching Band are very proud to have the opportunity to invite you and your band to become part of the 54th Annual Woollybear Parade. The event will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at 1:30 pm in Vermilion, Ohio. The festival parade is the largest one-day event in the state of Ohio and normally draws over 150,000 spectators. Because of TV 8’s extensive coverage, the exposure is widespread and will be seen by many thousands more. The names of all participating bands will be shown and announced on Fox TV8. The Woollybear parade is one of the top parades in the United States and there will be no judging. Participating bands will receive an official Woollybear medallion. In addition to marching in the Wonderful Wacky Woollybear Parade, we want you and your marching band to enjoy the festivities of the event. We want you to feel the full effect of the “Woollybear Craze.” We know marching bands usually travel with a lot of equipment (musical instruments, uniforms, etc.) and some of you come from a distance, so we would like to help make arrangements for you to enjoy the festival area before marching. Please let us know if you and your band members would like to come down to the festival and indulge in food, live entertainment, FOX8 Personalities, Woollybear souvenirs, Woollybear Costume contest, Woollybear pet look-a-like, and much more. You and your marching band are a top priority, so please let us know if there is any special request that we can assist you with. We want to make your Woollybear Sunday a fun and memorable one.
